Wheelock is a happy school with children who are eager to learn and to enjoy the opportunities they are given. We are proud of our children and value their hard work and enjoyment. We aim to create a stimulating environment in which children can learn and flourish through our vibrant and creative curriculum.
We strive for all our children to achieve their full potential and to develop the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their lives. We deliver our aims through the four words that describe what this school is all about – Community, Creativity, Challenge, and Individuality. These are also the building blocks of our unique creative curriculum.
We have a committed and dedicated team at Wheelock who work hard to ensure that all children achieve and succeed. We plan inspiring, challenging, and thought-provoking lessons that engage the children in their learning and help them to develop as individuals. This is further enriched by exciting wider opportunities including outdoor learning, woodland sessions, educational visits, residential trips, and family celebration days.
We benefit from having a fantastic building and interesting grounds, including our very own woodland area, complete with a tepee big enough to seat a whole class of children. One of the children’s favorite activities is getting together around the campfire to chat and share a snack.
