Weekly News 25.10.19

We have made it to the final week of this half-term! It’s been a long half-term with lots of fun but we are definitely ready for a break to recharge our batteries.  This week, the children have written up their full Leon and the Place Between stories into neat- they are eagerly awaiting the new whole-school literacy display to see who’s work has been chosen to represent Kestrels.  We have also used this book as a basis for our stop, start animations which will soon be available to view on the class website. In maths, we have been working on using a formal method of division, finishing the week with some very tricky division games.  The children have shared their animation presentations which have been absolutely wonderful- thank you to all those parents who have supported the children’s ongoing research.  Next half-term, the children’s literacy work will be based on the Disney film ‘Brave’.  I have set the home-learning to watch the film or read the book to be prepared to jump straight into our work next term.  Have a lovely break.
