Class Teacher - Permanent – M1 to M6 - Primary Schools - Wheelock Primary School, Crewe Road, Sandbach CW11 4PY

Wheelock Primary School are seeking to appoint a full-time Key Stage 2 teacher to join our successful and forward-thinking school. The vacancy is from January 2020 and is offered on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Key Stage 2 team. The post will be in a mixed-age year 3/4 class for the rest of this academic year and is then likely to be in a year 5/6 class from September. The willingness and ability to teach across the key stage 2 age-range is therefore essential. The post holder will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of teaching, learning and assessment within Key Stage 2 and also be willing to adapt their skills to delivering Wheelock’s bespoke, integrated curriculum. They will need to possess excellent communication skills and be a positive and proactive team member.

Apprenticeship Vacancy – Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning from September 2019 to August 2020. 

Hours will be 37 per week across 39 weeks per year (term time only). Holidays must be taken in school holidays during school closure. 

Pay will be apprenticeship wage £3.90 per hour, pro rota. 

Wheelock Primary school are looking for a committed and dynamic learner. The role will entail working in the classroom alongside a class teacher to support learning opportunities, working as part of the midday supervision team and also working in the school’s before and after school club as a Play Leader.

Out of School Club, Wheelock Primary School AAAD5102

Play Worker  –  £15,839 pro rata per annum.

Wheelock Primary School is looking to appoint a positive and energetic Play Worker for our Out of School Club called The Hive.

The successful candidate will love working with children and be able to support the ethos of our school; providing the best care possible for all the children. They will have responsibilities including collecting the younger children from their classrooms and welcoming the older ones as they arrive; helping to serve and supervise the evening meal; supporting the children in their play and running structured activities including crafts, cookery and sports.

A level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent is desirable.

A current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Food Hygiene Certificate are desirable but not essential. Willingness to gain these certificates is essential.

Working hours are 15 hours per week, 3.00pm to 6.00pm five days a week, term time only and excluding INSET days.
